I'm really hoping that someone get's what I'm referencing with that title, otherwise it's just a bunch a grammatical errors. XD
Anyway, as I've mentioned before-I want to try out a few different online venues. These are the 3 I'm sticking with for now;
All 3 accept PayPal, so as long as my customers trust me as a seller and PayPal as a payment method, there should be no problems there.
They each have features that I like, and something I wish they would change, so I'm treating the next couple months as a test. Once I get a chance to really see how these sites function, I'll write up an honest review for each of them (useful info for anyone interested in selling craft/artwork online). The Etsy shop has been open for years, but I've only been selling on eBay for a month and the Zibbet shop just opened. So I'm going to take that into consideration when reviewing.
To make sure none of my shops are empty during this test, I moved around my inventory a little and will be making/posting some new things soon. I also went through all of my DA submissions and updated the links for everything. If anyone is having trouble finding something in a shop-let me know and I'll find it for you.
What do I think of these 3 shops so far? Well, I had an item on Etsy for 8 months, posted it on eBay instead and within a few weeks, it sold-same price and everything. So right now I'm thinking that diversity is good. I'm also thinking that as long as I stay organized, 3 shops mostly handling PayPal transactions, won't be all that hard to maintain. And if it does turn out that 3 is too many, I can always close the one or two that don't do as well-I'm genuinely interested in seeing how this works out.
Now, while I still have your attention....Have you bought anything from artists on any of these sites? What do you think of them? Are any of these sites, sites you refuse to buy things on? (why?) Comments welcome here, feel free to let me know what you think.
