It's a, "The Nightmare Before Christmas", themed, 2 tier cookie cake. :D
And a plate of pumpkin peppermints and orange candy canes.
Christmas candy with a Halloween twist.

I'm in the middle of renovating a dollhouse* and it looks a bit haunted right now (broken windows, shredded wallpaper). So I decided to use it as a backdrop for this little display.

All of the food, and the bat props are polymer clay.
The cake stand is a plastic bottle top, and the candy platter was made from reclaimed cardboard.
The 'hill', bats, cake stand, and candy platter were painted/textured with black metallic acrylic paint. Some things have been sealed with polycrylic.

The moon is just colored paper on craft foam, taped to the wall (wax adhesive doesn't work on craft foam, btw). To get that cool glow effect, I shined a flashlight into the dollhouse. When the light focused on just a wall or the scene, it looked terrible, but when it's lined up with the moon, the paper reflected it back at the camera. I don't know why I decided to try that, but I'm glad I did.
