Tough to see when something is this small, but the backgrounds are parchment paper.

These aren't dead bugs.
They are photos of some specimens owned by a local entomology enthusiast.
They've been miniaturized in Photoshop, printed, painted with Acrylic paint medium, cut out, and carefully glued into their own handmade miniature riker mount display boxes.
